Full course description
February 28 - June 11, 2022.
This bootcamp is free and is intended for High School Juniors.
The junior year is very demanding for high school students. This is an extremely busy time when students must be prepared to balance enjoying their high school experience while beginning to prepare for the transition to either college or the workplace after graduation.
To be successful, the student should set clear goals and identify ways to achieve those goals. They have to decide if they are going to attend college, enter the workforce or both.
The Salisbury University College and Career Readiness Bootcamp for high school juniors will provide an opportunity for the student to engage in online and face-to-face opportunities to participate in activities that will help them navigate life on a college campus or in the workplace.
The College and Career Success Academy will consist of 12 weeks of online guided courses centered around what happens after high school, how do I get where I want to go, and what do I do next?
There will also be 2 on campus events:
Sat Feb 26, 9am-2pm: Orientation, Tour and Lunch
Sat June 11, 9am-12noon: End of Bootcamp Breakfast and Finanical Aid Workshop
The College and Career Readiness Bootcamp, Spring 2022, will be taught by instructors that will provide guidance, support and feedback for the students. Juniors that complete the course will receive a digital badge that will be added to their professional profile to show their competency in the course areas.
