Full course description

Intended for SU faculty and staff teaching. This course may be taken individually or as part of the Soaring with Online Learning certificate program. Soaring with Online Learning (Soaring) is a faculty development program to prepare Salisbury University faculty to design, develop and deliver courses in a fully online or hybrid environment through the campus learning management system, MyClasses. This third course in the program will introduce the Backward Design model, Quality Matters and the concept of alignment between essential course components (learning objectives, assessments, instructional materials, activities, and technology).

This course is facilitator led and participants will work one-on-one with an Instructional Designer or a Faculty Online Learning Fellow to plan and develop their course. 

Enrollment is encouraged early within the course availabilty dates. A certificate of completion will be given to individuals who earn an 80% or higher for the course and complete all facilitator required activities.
